Beyond-No Man Moves

Moon Glyph keeps the quality electronica coming, this time with the No Man Moves cassette (MG37) from Beyond (J. Shaver of Chicago's Deep Earth). In "Untitled III" transplendent minimalist arpeggiations permute to down-tempo beats, haunted throughout by intermittent blips and glitches. Have a listen below. Get the tape here!

Beyond - Untitled III by Moon Glyph

From Moon Glyph:

"No Man Moves" is the introduction & dismissal of the fog as crafted by Beyond, the moniker of one J. Shaver from Deep Earth. Conquering terrains of intricate tribal synthetics, deep noir-disco & eternal ambience, Beyond seeks comfort in the shadowy undercurrents. With "Untitled III" the gradual ascent leads us to the twitching machine; the centralized workings of the unseen, formidable whole. With great pleasure Moon Glyph presents our 37th release & Beyond's sophomore cassette, "No Man Moves".

Dosh pulls out the stops every winter for his big show at Cedar Cultural Center, but this Friday he gives you the opportunity to indulge yourself in a little old school Minneapolis music nostalgia with the return of Lateduster! Adding to this Wisconsin's All Tiny Creatures and his own prodigious offering, I'd say he's being quite generous.

Tomorrow's show at the Hexagon Bar features two touring acts and two local acts whose sonorities inhabit the outlying territories of the musical wild. Headliner Drainolith is loner Alex Moskos of Montreal's AIDS Wolf. Keeping things lupine, Regression features the talents of Nate Young from Wolf Eyes. To make things more bearable Mar Habrine (Skoal Kodiak) shares his unique, otherworldly soundscapes. Starting things off, Squid Fist drags you through the deepest depths of the sonic seas.
