Filthy garage rock, Tuvan throat singing, Indonesian incantation, and guttural bass clarinetisms rarely meet up in the same place at the same time. Tonight, at the Turf Club, they are brought together for you by the likes of Arrington de Donyso's Malaikat dan Singa. Prepare to be overwhelmed by an energetic ritual bordering on the berserk! In tow are two newer projects spun off of groups you may know. The first is Dimanche, which equals one part Mother of Fire and one part (the only part) Ghostband. Violin, clarinet, drum, upright bass, homemade doodads and voice engage in droning, wailing, banging, scraping and thrashing for your pleasure. The second is Malls, which features Chris Danforth of The Danforths and pianist/percussionist Jeff Bina letting their experimental hair down. Good times prevail!
