Audio Cookbook is easily one of the most rewarding reads on the internet, particularly if you love vintage synthesizers and the interesting sounds they produce. Having already posted 365 sounds in 365 days, the cookbook's author (prolific keyboardist, producer, teacher and electronic instrument encyclopedist John Keston) has upped the ante with one synthesizer sound every day. Each day a new patch is featured either abstractly or in the context of a performance. John's most recent post, titled Monkey Dog Specimen Segment, features Roland's D-50 and MKS-80 and is sampled from his solo project Ostraka (performing April 4th @ the Kitty Cat Klub). Served on a bed of fresh beats, the rich flavors of the skillfully prepared synths really tickle the tastebuds. Some of the ingredients may be hard to find, but Audio Cookbook has a lot of savory suggestions for even the most finicky palate!
