There's a structure called a bigloo (pictured above) in the Walker Art Center's backyard. It was created by Sean Connaughty for last month's visit from Machine Project. The L.A.-based artist's collective will be back in July (as artists-in-residence) for more Open Field antics. In the meantime, the Eclectic Ensemble will make use of the perfectly good arctic showspace for a short concert Friday evening 7:30-8:30pm. Also playing are multi-instrumentalist Elaine Evans and Connaughty's own Vortex Navigation Company. Brave the cold for some brave new sounds!
