Tonight's edition of MODE features special guests Penetration Systems (Jobot & The Lurker), along with the familiar faces of Heavy Arms, Mr. Blaq, Plot Twist and Westin. Peep these potentialities at Honey tonight!
Distinguished as a keyboardist, producer and educator, John Keston stands out in any circle. Here, as Ostraka, he displays more than a working knowledge of his DSI Tempest, Pro-One and Roland MKS-80. "Tunguska Dub" begins with an Aphex Twin-style analog vibe and quickly detours toward dub. It's a wild ride with a great view! You can try to keep up with Mr. Keston's ongoing experiments with sound here.
MODE fires another salvo of heavy ordinance bass music tonight at Honey. MC/producer Toki Wright, who cued up a track especially for the season, leads the charge. Twin Cities house legend DJ Etones, Heavy Arms and Westin bring up the rear. Always the best. Be there!
Honey (205 E Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN) 9:30PM/21+/$3
